EPAGMA membership

Currently, EPAGMA has 16 members from 11 EU countries. EPAGMA is also interested to welcome companies based outside the EU countries to join as associate members.
Each company provides the Association with expertise and insight into the issues impacting their day-to-day business and can help shape the industry’s response to relevant policy developments, notably through their contacts with various stakeholders.

In addition to a number of EPAGMA meetings during the year, all members receive regular updates on key EU issues affecting the industry and on the activities undertaken by EPAGMA.
Members are invited to be involved in determining and shaping EPAGMA’s position and response to relevant policy developments.

EPAGMA monitors European and national policy developments (technical, educational, economic, after-use, organisational and legislative developments) and plans for them in order to ensure a positive political environment for the development and success of the peat sector across Europe.

EPAGMA’s role is key in ensuring that the peat industry is fully aware and ready to react to policy developments that could affect the sector. A single, unified voice of the industry is essential in making sure that the concerns and suggestions of the sector are taken into consideration by policy-makers at both national and European levels.

How can I become a member of EPAGMA?

Any company operating in the peat and growing media sector in Europe can apply for membership in EPAGMA. Application for new memberships can be made by using the form or by sending a letter to the EPAGMA Secretariat. More information on membership conditions can also be obtained through the Secretariat.

Membership fees

The EPAGMA membership fee is divided into two parts: an initial € 5000 to be paid when joining the Association, and then a quarterly fee (every three months) of € 1750 for the activities undertaken by the Association.

Special membership conditions apply to members from the new EU members states which joined the Union on 1 May 2004. These members are given a 90 % reduction on the initial joining fee of € 5000, i.e. the reduced fee is only € 500. Also, these companies benefit from a reduction on the quarterly fees for the activities undertaken by the Association. The reduced quarterly fee is € 800.
